Hands-On Guardianship

Since Day One at Viking, Wendell has taken a very hands-on approach. He is frequently touring the neighborhoods supervising the homes currently under construction as well as welcoming home owners to their new neighborhood. He is often quoted as saying, “If you see something wrong, even on a house that is closed, call our service people up and get it fixed right away.” This type of thinking is a key element to our business model. The day-to-day operations are still run by Wendell and now Ryan, his son, in the Tri-Cities branch. Wendell and Ryan believe that Viking’s active caretaking of your homes and communities is more than just common sense – it is guardianship.
This kind of personal touch is felt throughout every step of the home-buying process, especially when you call our offices – we refuse to let phone calls fall to answering machines and answer customer calls with a bright hello (by a real person). It saddens us that so many businesses today neglect this human touch. With us it is as simple as asking for the person you wish to speak with and we connect you immediately. Every call is that important to us!
