Viking Construction, Inc. is an Idaho Corporation that was started in 1980 by Wendell Olson. Wendell’s hands-on approach brought him success as he built his communities, one house at a time, on the loadstone of customer service. Over the years, Viking’s reputation as a loyal, up-front and trustworthy company has grown as their communities thrived. Viking has built over 3000 homes in the Inland Empire, the Spokane, WA and Coeur d’Alene, ID areas. In 2005, we built close to 450 homes, and in the recently tough economy, we held strong - remaining the largest builder in this market place with building above 150-200 homes per year.  

As one of the area’s largest builders, we understand the importance of customer satisfaction. In fact, our Warranty and Service Program is broadly admired in the field. When we welcome each new owner to their Viking Home, it is with the pride and certainty that their family will enjoy community, safety and affordable luxury – with terrific follow-through.   Not only do we strive for our current customers referrals to their friends and family, we work hard to insure that as our customer’s families grow, they stay with the Viking Family and move up in another Viking Home.

Our confidence in our product allows us to grow speculatively – buying land years before our customers purchase their homes. This strength comes with the 30 years of experience, solid knowledge and quality control that our customers rely on. We have also built a thriving 66-unit apartment community that we own and operate.
